CWE bestowed letter of appreciation and medal by international rescue organization
ONG SAR PERU, a Peru-based non-profit rescue organization, sent a representative to bestow CWE’s Canar Flood Control Project Management a letter of appreciation and a medal for its active participation in the earthquake relief of Ecuador at Guayaquil on July 20, 2016.
Ecuador was jolted by a 7.8-magnitude earthquake on April 16, 2016. In the aftermath, CWE’s Canar Flood Control Project Management promptly deployed a rescue team to the stricken areas, taking part in the relief efforts for the ensuing 20 days. CWE’s rescue team mainly worked in Jama City, close to the epicenter, together with other teams from Columbia, Peru. Well-equipped and organized, in addition to cooperation with Ecuadorian local teams，CWE’s team also provide equipment, personnel, and logistics assistance to support other teams. ONG SAR PERU was one of the non-profit organizations working shoulder to shoulder with CWE in the rescue and fighting together to carry out personnel search and rescue, medical aid and other relief activities.
After the completion of rescue activities, ONG SAR PERU expressed thanks and appreciation to CWE in various ways. Lately, the organization specifically sent its representative to CWE’s Canar flood control project office in Guayaquil to award the letter of appreciation and medal to CWE for its contribution in the earthquake relief efforts.
Participation in this disaster relief fully demonstrated CWE and CTG’s sense of corporate social responsibilities. It also tested the company’s deployment, mobility and execution capacities and proved that CWE deserves to be called a capable and responsible international company.
